Ingredients

  • 1 cup tapiocá pearls (sagó)

  • 1/2 cup gulaman powder, dissolved in 2 cups of warm water
  • 2 cups coconut milk
  • 1 cup pandan juice (blend fresh pandan leaves with a little water and strain)
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar, or to taste
  • Ice cubes
  • Chopped young coconut flesh and toasted desiccated coconut flakes for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cook the Tapiocá Pearls: In a saucepan over medium heat, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the tapiocá pearls and cook according to package instructions until they are translucent, about 15-20 minutes. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop cooking.
