  1. Prepare the Cod: After desalting overnight, rinse the cod under cold water and pat dry with paper towels. Cut into small, bite-sized pieces.

  2. Mix Breadcrumb Mixture: In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to create a flavorful coating mixture.

  3. Set Up Batter Stations: Arrange three shallow dishes: one with flour for dusting the cod, another with beaten eggs, and the third with the breadcrumb mixture.

  4. Coat Cod Pieces: Dust each piece of cod lightly with flour, shaking off any excess. Dip into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s well-coated, then press firmly into the breadcrumb mixture to coat thoroughly. Shake off any excess crumbs.
